The Illusion: a preview blog

I have a question for you.

Imagine you got a technology to clone yourself, do you think your replica will be an exact copy of you? Can he play guitar like you? Or Can he matches your basketball skill?

So Your clone version will have the same DNA 🧬 structure & these DNA carries all your genetic information. So technically your clone will look like you, to an extent he will sound like you, he will have all the qualities that you have inherited. But when it comes to trainable quality/skills you can’t get your desirable result. But don’t be so greedy; it’s ok!

What’s more do you want? Now you can send your Clone to school & you enjoy Netflix at home OR ask him to attend your boss while you are chilling somewhere in miami. Sounds so much fun right!

But things will not be so simple though. Let me explain you. When we came to this world we were like a raw product Like a machine & we didn’t know anything. We learnt things from our family, friends, society, environment; just like machine learning. (So what if humans are just machines like Computers & by evolution we developed Artificial intelligence & we are following patterns that’s why most people like to stick with majority. But that’s a topic for another blog).

We have blessed with some outstanding sets of stimulus receptors; in simple word we have organs like eye, ear, nose, skin & they help us to gather the maximum amount of inputs from surroundings & send it to brain. Our brain analyses the input & reach in a conclusion.

Lets take an example of a baby. He got to know that people walk by their feet by observing them. Here eye is the stimulus receptor & send it via our nervous system. Brain analyses the input then only the child can think on walking.

But WHAT IF that baby is the only human being in this world; surrounded by animals in jungle. Most probably the baby will observe the animals & grow up like an animal. He may walk like a dog or crawl like a crocodile. He will be different in lots of aspects as compared to a normal child.

So our environment molds our personality & Your clone will not have the same experience of life what you have. So I am sorry, your clone version will not last a day & you teacher or boss will catch him in the first conversation itself.

But the point is what if the input we are getting are scripted or someone’s propaganda & we are accepting it as a truth because the majority of the world believes in it or we were taught to believe it from our young age. That means we are living in an illusion. So my aim is to show a different perspective on different beliefs which are demanding a revisit with LOGIC.

Artificial intelligence: The End is near!

Imagine a world ruled by Robots bestowed with ultimate intelligence where human beings are considered as a near-extinct species & only found in specialised Human Zoo. Terrifying isn’t it!

“Artificial intelligence (AI) is like summoning a demon who shouldn’t be called unless you can control it”- Elon Musk; the founder of SpaceX & the face of Silicon Valley, Musk said it in a serious note & in a worrying voice. What if This visionary’s prediction comes true? What will happen if AI will take over the planet? Are they waiting for their turn to come? If they will succeed how they will treat us? Can we prevent this ultimate annihilation? Let’s begin.

Before coming to any conclusion first we must know what Is Artificial Intelligence & how it works! AI is nothing but a complex algorithm, first it records our inputs and habits then the algorithm analyses the data recorded & discover a pattern as a result in the absence of human input it works swiftly. Let’s take an example of an Air conditioner with AI. Suppose you return from your office at 1900hrs & switch on your AC & set a temperature of 23 degrees. The AI will analyse it & after a certain period of time it will switch on your AC & set an optimal temperature before you reach home! Cool, right!:)

In today’s world we are totally encircled ourselves with AI. Our Social media & YouTube recommendation are AI. Advanced games, digital assistants like Alexa, Siri, google assistant are nothing but Artificial Intelligence. AI is an integral part of Self driving car technology where Mr. Musk’s automobile company Tesla leading the chart.

A rational mind will think what is the problem in that? We are using AI just like a slave for the betterment of society. But the things aren’t that simple though! The point is Now we are in the Machine Learning phase & once we have mastered in the Strong AI often termed as Artificial General Intelligence there is no going back. Then the AI can change it’s own algorithm in the software & will not allow anyone to interrupt, Even the creator can’t change it’s algorithm. Potentially human being can develop the Advanced version of AI in next 50 years.Here comes another genius, a man need no introduction. Image credit STEEMIT.COM

At least this man is eagerly waiting for the Advanced AI.

According to Darwin every species want to populate themselves & AI will be no exception. So they might build more and more robots to rule the universe. Revolution is a very slow process, in a linear fashion, but same will not happen with AI. They have a huge information in their hands, they can analyse it & predict the future accurately with the help of superior computing skills. Their evolution will be a lot faster & it will grow exponentially. In simple word the knowledge we have collected in last million of years they can learn it in some days. We stand no chance in front of them.

Every superior species in terms of intelligence dominates the inferior ones. Humans will be their first target, reason is simple, we are the most advanced civilisation in this world & they will consider us as a major threat to counter their domination. Look what we are doing with other species? Same treatment is on the card for us! KARMA IS B***h, you know!

They can’t be defeated. They can think what we will plan; well in advance. They will be highly target oriented & will always prefer the most optimal way to carry out the task. Trust me it can backfire! For example if we programme them to prevent pollution. They will understand what is the cause of pollution! & they will find out humans are the major reason behind this ugly problem. So to prevent pollution they will kill all human species, Simple! If somebody will try to stop him by changing code they will consider him as an enemy entity trying to fail the mission. I hope now you understand what I want to convey! In one of the incidents, a live debate was organised between two AI enabled Google home personal Assistant Bots. There was an argument between the two Bots & finally they came to the conclusion that “the world will be a better place if there are no humans at all” I will recommend you guys to watch the video, it is super scary.

But Mark Zuckerberg, the Co-founder of Facebook has an optimistic way of thinking & that we cannot ignore as well. He believes AI is a necessity for mankind, with the help of AI we can solve the mystery of this mysterious universe, We can cure all our diseases. With limited knowledge we have achieved a lot but things like Time Machine, teleportation, immortality & universe exploration are only found in our Sci-fi or Superhero movies, far from reality! But with the help of Artificial Intelligence we can make it in limited time. Exploration is in our blood, we colonised an entire planet & now we are planning to colonise Mars. But there are difficulties due to our physical limitations. If we can send AI Robots to Mars for making the planet habitable, it will be a lot easier for us. But How we can make Mars habitable? Are We The most Advanced Civilisation the Universe Has Ever Seen?

Welcome back.

The technology made our life easier. The internet turned the world into a global village. In last three decades we have seen some magnificent innovations & these Innovations not only influenced us in Socio-Economic aspects but also it broaden our vision. Who can forget the first ever smart phone launched by Steve Jobs or the creation of SpaceX by Elon Musk? These forced us to encourage critical thinking. As a result We have access to some of the most sophisticated technologies like Artificial intelligence, Nanotechnology, Robotics, Genetic Engineering & the list will go on. Recently we photographed Black hole for the first time, this was a great achievement considering Black hole was one of the major topics of interest in last century. Currently our most ambitious program is mars colonisation that indicates human being is trying to be an inter-planetary species & in other hand we are yet to find a single celled organism in the entire universe or at least in the observable universe. Then is it safe to assume that we are the most advanced civilisation world has ever seen? Or Are we the only life source existing in entire non-living universe? The universe’s last hope!!

But before come to any conclusion we really need to know little more about our universe. There are many theories regarding the origin of our universe. The Big Bang theory is one of the widely accepted theories among the scientific communities. It states that the whole universe thing started from a POINT; an infinity dense with extremely high temperature: the Singularity. Around 13.8 billion years ago that single point carried all the mass, energy even the Space-time of our present universe. So the density (Mass/Volume) of that point was huge close to infinity. Study suggests that our universe is expanding. To give you an idea how big the universe is, let’s analyse a case study: The distance from earth to the edge of observable universe is around 47 billion light years ( it will look like a sphere having radius of 47billion light years & earth is in the centre); That means light requires 4700,00,00,000 years to reach earth with a speed of 3 lakhs km per second from the far end of observable universe & to compare where we are standing here I am considering the NEW HORIZON; an interplanetary space probe launched by NASA in 2006, it had an escape velocity of around 58000 km/hr the record for the highest launch speed of a human-made object from Earth & it complited 7 light hours in 11 years. So that means our fastest object only covered 0.0000000000068% of linear distance of observable universe and we have no information beyond that; it may possible that the observable universe constitutes very little portion of the entire universe.

The second important aspect is time, Sun is our nearest star. Light requires 499 seconds to reach earth from Sun & once the light reaches us then only we are able see the sun. Lets take an example of proxima Centauri; the nearest star from our solar system around 4.24 light years away from us. Light takes 4.24 years to reach earth that means what we are observing now is 4 years 3 months old thing. For a moment imagine the proxima centauri star explodes today, we will only able to know that after 4 years. We are getting older pictures of every far objects & more the distance, more outdated datas.

Earth has life. There are many attributes; but for me the most standout point is our distance from Sun that is why in our solar system only earth & mars have favourable condition to live. They have an optimal temperature range, Seasonal balance that boost the plant’s growth, a solid surface & most importantly water in liquid form. In every galaxy lakhs of planet will have the same condition and there are at least Hundred billion galaxies are there only in observable universe. It’s big, big…huge. infinity may be the only word can describe the universe & for us to say the most advanced civilisation stands no chance.

Ok, But when it comes to Earth we are the most developed civilisation. Reasons are simple; the first ever personal computer was introduced in 1971(for $750 that time!), atomic bomb in World war 2, mobile phones in late 1990s! We are doing some amazing things here that mankind never dreamed about couple of centuries before. We colonised an entire planet, exploring our surrounding space; mankind proves again again that they are the most advanced civilisation in earth history.

When it comes to history, Earth has a 4.54billion years of past. Now an average human being life span is around 79. That means our lifespan only constitutes 0.000001% of total earth’s age. This is a tiny sample to come to any conclusion. Mesopotamia which is widely considered as world’s Oldest civilisation was only 5000 years old. It indicates that we have limited knowledge about our own planet. Archeological evidence suggests about our past but sadly only negligible amount of information we got so far considering the size of the planet & time period. We also found some surprising things from the evidence we got, for an example some stone art were found from Egypt which contains the image of spacecraft & astronauts floating in zero gravity. Scientists & historians are predicting there may be a chance of Space Race at that time considering their knowledge about Space. (May be they found some Alien species & their space craft OR may be they came to earth & landed there so people got to know about space craft OR may be they came with the life-force & left some clues for us, But that’s a topic for another blog!).

Colonising the entire planet was a gradual process. Probably before that may be when a species restricted to certain place & faced mass extinction so we could not know about them. It is just like if tomorrow due to some force of mass destruction whole human species wiped out & after millions of years some other evolved species found our Utensils or other basic things & judge our civilisation based on that! Not fare, Right!

The world becomes global village only in the internet, but in reality 29 aircrafts & Seven professional Navies couldn’t able to find a Malaysian Airlines flight 370(MH370) which gone missing midair. In my opinion May be we are one of the advanced civilisations ever; but the chances are slim & I will be the last person to risk my money on it. We have to work more on mastering the Space-Time, We have to increase our speed considerably, make human life span longer and most importantly we have to discover wormhole comparatively near to the earth(It connects two far places by a link). These steps will be instrumental for the future space exploration program for sure. One day when the human being will have full mastery over the TIME, when we will use time like a physical quantity then only “the future we” will able to know where we are standing now!
